Die bekannte iranische Schauspielerin Behnaz Jafari erhält eine Videobotschaft eines weiblichen Fans. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Freund, dem Regisseur Jafar Panahi, macht sie sich auf die Suche nach dem Mädchen. Die Reise in den Norden des Landes bringt überraschende Begegnungen: Dorfbewohner, die einspurige Bergstraßen mit cleveren Hupecodes passierbar machen; alte Frauen, die in ausgehobenen Gräbern Probe liegen, und potente Zuchtbullen, die den Weg versperren. Im Bergdorf des Mädchens angekommen, versuchen die beiden das Geheimnis um das Video endlich zu lösen.
